Price Increase on Bud

Yup,

There it is… Old faithful… No matter how crappy the day, there was always old faithful waiting at home… A cold Budweiser with your name on it…

Seriously… Do we ask so much? When it’s ‘August hot’ and we still have sawdust in our hair, is it too much to ask for a little beer without breaking the bank? the cost of a 30 pack just went up by a $1.00. Not that Bruce likes that, but that’s the name of the game. His costs go up… your costs go up. No… Da Gizz hates this — every time his costs go up, you think twice about that ‘after-work’ cold one. Not good…

How can it be that a product that probably costs $.10 to make, market, and ship ends up costing close to a $1.00??? Give you a clue — Gibson ain’t getting rich. Welcome to the world of taxes, fees, futures on gas prices, outrageous labor costs, domestic and global economic instability, and political befuddlement. The world doesn’t know whether to ‘fight, fornicate, or jump over the fence’.

Anyway, that’s this cat’s take on why Bud just went up a buck on a 30 pack…

Sipping by the racks…
