Hi everyone! Ponchita, the other HSS cat here.
First things first… Ya know… A Harwich Spirits Shoppe gift sure would be cool for this time of year, and CafePress is always having sales right about now… Be honest… Isn’t the following neat-o???
As we all know, the holidays are approaching rapidly, and what better way to spend the day than at a local holiday crafts fair? The one we went to this afternoon was held at one of our favorite local hangouts, Brax Landing, and was chock-full of great gifts for friends and family. No bottles of booze for sale, although you could take a shopping break and have lunch and drinks, of course. And that’s why you also need to stop by the shop here, as well.
But it was a fun event, and there were displays from about 20 local craftspeople and small businesspeople, selling all sorts of wonderful giftables.
One of our favorites, Angie of Cape Cod Glass Light, was selling her beautiful stained glass creations. You may remember our recent post about a honkin’ big hutch being build; well, the stained glass panels in that bad boy were created by Angie. Gorgeous!
But Angie wasn’t the only one with great stuff. There was Peter Perry (508.246.2486), a Harwich local, with his beautiful wood-burning pictures…
And we saw beautiful seashell ornaments, created from good ol’ Cape Cod seashells:
Some dazzlingly sparkly brooches and earrings made from vintage jewelry (and definitely a table with a view!)
And of course, what would a holiday fair be without free food? That’s why Sue from Partylite was there. She had delectable samples of dips and breads and jellies, as well as treat buckets for the kids; all delicious and all begging to be given as presents.
These are great gift ideas, but each great gift goes immeasurably better if paired with a nice bottle of wine or champagne, or even a six-pack of brew. And of course you can get all that stuff at—you guessed it—Harwich Spirits Shoppe. So do yourself a favor. Stop by the shop, say hi to Da Gizz, and pick up a nice present for a friend, or for yourself!
Waiting by the racks to giftwrap your bottles…

P.S. You know, there are still a couple of contests out there just waiting…
