Thanksgiving

Hey, Cisco the HSS cat here…

Obviously, Thanksgiving looms…

And yes, we have a sale through the 28th. (Keep in mind that by law, we’re closed on “Turkey Day”! You’ve been warned.) But beyond the alcohol and lottery tickets (and especially the turkey), what’s it all about Alfie?

Here are Ponchita’s and my “Top Ten” things that we’re thankful for…

10.) We live in a place where life has meaning, and misogamy, racism, slavery, and caste are scorned.

9.) We live in a society that still clings to the concepts of objectivity and science.

8.) We have access to as much cheap/free education as our characters can absorb.

7.) We legally have the right to defend ourselves.

6.) We can trade freely.

5.) We can explore our own future ventures, for better or for worse.

4.) We are free to seek employment, no matter how menial or distant.

3.) We can worship as we choose (or not worship at all) without fear that someone with “knowledge of the Mind of God” will cut our heads off.

2.) We live in a country where we can say whatever we damn well please so long as we don’t scream “Fire!” in a crowded theater when there is no fire.

1.) We still own copies of the original U.S. Constitution.

A humble suggestion from just a couple of spirits shoppe cats… Make up your own ‘”Top Ten” things that we’re thankful for‘ list, and then look over each item and figure out why you have those wonderful sanctuaries…

Two grateful cats by the racks…

P.S. And then there’s that pesky contest
