Pumpkin Ale Bread… Touchdown!

Not much to say about this one… We dropped off a loaf or two at the store, and I’m sure it was gone within minutes…

You've GOT to try this recipe!

Here’s a link to our baking suggestions as well as the original recipe. I’m tellin’ ya, this one is a ringer…

For Ponchita and me, the truly appropriate question that haunts this splendid mix is this, “What foods accentuate this exceptional bread?” It’s got such a balanced spice flavor and a texture that we really don’t know what would compliment this puppy…

Tell you what… It’s time to hand this one off to a pro… That is, it’s time to hand it off to Da Gizz… I’m sure that there’s a wine, beer, cheese, fruit, stew, etc. that will really blow the doors open… But as much as we hate to admit it, we need the Gibson on this one. GRRR!!!

See you by those fragrant racks,

One Response to Pumpkin Ale Bread… Touchdown!

  1. Bruce Gibson says:

As usual, ‘cisc’, a great question. I suggest many of those wines that one never can figure out what to serve with. Gewurztraminer, I just wrote about, Rieslings, Chenin Blanc, or even a late harvest wine that I will speak about in my next entry on my trip through Alsace.
Also a Port or Champagne would work. How ’bout some of the Post Road Pumpkin Ale itself. I always recommend a beverage to try if it is used in the recipe.
