Time out from the wine, politics, and general insanity… As you probably know, a lethal “blow out” on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico has released at the very least 6,000,000 gallons of oil. Truth be told, the numbers could be much higher. This is from a screen shot today…
To see the actual meter in action, check out this PBS site. Sickening. In a very-worst-case scenario, this disaster will last through the summer and total the equivalent of 20 Exxon Valdezes (240 million gallons of oil).
I (Cisco the HSS cat) have no clue what to do… I don’t know if anyone does… Just too many unknowns… About the best we can suggest is that you visit The Conservation Fund and if you deem appropriate, donate… Odds are, this is going to turn extraordinarily ugly.
