Cisco here… (Harwich Spirits Shoppe cat and political handler…) What follows is an editorial from the the May 13th 2010 Cape Cod Chronicle (Harwich edition, vol. 45, number 19, pg. 22).
No great surprise here… But it is interesting to note that Bruce could have easily had me play fun and games and simply had me post this as a Cape Cod Chronicle editorial and leave Ed McManus right out of the picture… Nope… His instructions were to post it as written, even if that meant a scan… So there you go… He may not be the most savvy of politicians, but at least he comes at you straight on. If you haven’t met him yet, stop by the store and just ask him some questions… He won’t be blinking when he answers… Just check your agenda at the door.
I’ve been thinking… One of the nicest compliments Bruce has ever received was on April 19th, when “Mark E.” (a very strong anti-wind turbine person) left a comment that lit into Bruce concerning Bruce’s pro-wind stance… When Mark was done he said something extraordinarily good and decent… “Thank you for this forum to voice my opinions.” That’s what this is all about… We can agree to disagree, but we can’t leave our values behind.
“Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government;… whenever things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, they may be relied on to set them to rights.” — Thomas Jefferson
